Performer Contract Terms
These terms cover talent (DJs, live bands, singers, guitarists, hosts, MCs, dancers, photographers, videographers) booked through Saurel Celestin Events & Promotions ("Producer"). A signed booking confirmation or paid deposit incorporates these terms.
1. Engagement
Performer agrees to deliver the services outlined in the booking confirmation (setlist, hours, load-in time, dress code, technical rider). Any substitutions or changes require Producer's written approval.
2. Compensation & Payment
Fee is stated in the booking confirmation. Unless otherwise agreed:
- A non-refundable deposit of 50% is due at booking.
- The balance is due on the day of performance, prior to set start.
- Payment methods: cash, Zelle, or wire — as specified on the booking form.
3. Load-In & Set Times
Performer arrives no later than the load-in time listed in the booking confirmation. Late arrival may result in reduced compensation at Producer's sole discretion.
4. Cancellation by Performer
Performer cancellation forfeits any deposit received and may require reimbursement of Producer's replacement costs. Cancellations within 14 days of performance may incur additional damages.
5. Cancellation by Producer
Producer may cancel with more than 14 days' notice with no additional penalty beyond forfeiture of the deposit. Cancellations closer to the performance date are handled on a case-by-case basis.
6. Force Majeure
Neither party is liable for cancellation caused by events beyond reasonable control (severe weather, venue emergency, government order). Producer will make reasonable effort to reschedule.
7. Recording & Promotion
Producer may photograph, record, and broadcast the performance for Producer's own promotional use across all media. Performer grants a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free license to Producer for such use.
8. Conduct & Content
Performer will conduct themselves professionally and respect venue rules. Content, language, and behavior must remain appropriate for the crowd. Producer may remove Performer for material breach without further payment.
9. Independent Contractor
Performer is engaged as an independent contractor. Performer is responsible for their own taxes, insurance, and equipment except where explicitly provided by Producer.
