A career spanning the Tri-State and Florida — built on one mission: to prove Kompa music belongs on every world stage.
Saurel Celestin's long-standing career spans over 20 years in the Tri-State and throughout Florida. He is a leading entrepreneur in the Caribbean entertainment industry — and a tireless advocate for Haitian culture.
His objective has always been simple: prove that Kompa music is a visible, vibrant, and profitable genre. His events placed many establishments on the NYC nightlife map — dating back to Brasserie Creole in 1995, Chic Fridays at Classic Grill, Taj III, and Club Mix. As a trailblazer, he introduced Haitian culture to The Attic, Dream Hotel, Club Remix, and the Carlton Hotel.
During eleven years of Kompa Tuesdays at Katra and four years of Kompa Thursdays at Milk River, both residencies became celebrity hotspots. Saurel has collaborated on Ayiti Nou la Toujou, New York Music Month, the Future of the Haitian Music Industry, and the First Annual Haitian Heritage Cultural Celebration at Gracie Mansion.
With his business associate Fred Lherisson, Saurel is responsible for debuting the Haitian Day Party — now a favorite throughout the USA — and for sold-out live Kompa performances and luxury yacht events.
